The Camrose Axemen were founded in 2008 after the Armena Axemen of the Powerline Baseball League (PBL) moved to Camrose, AB and joined the North Central Alberta Baseball League (NCABL). The Axemen/Royals PBL franchise were 3 time PBL Champion (2002, 2003, 2004) and 4 time PBL Pennant winners (2003, 2004, 2006, 2007) between 1999 and 2007.
