Battle River Watershed Alliance

Address:
5415-49 Avenue, Camrose

Who are we?

We are the landowners, business people, researchers, decision makers. We are the people that live, work and play in the Battle River and Sounding Creek Watersheds. We are the people that will ensure a stable economy, healthy natural areas and resilient communities in this place that we love. We connect people to place for action.

The Battle River Watershed Alliance (BRWA) is an inclusive, collaborative and consensus-based community partnership that is working to guide, support and deliver actions to sustain or improve the health of the Battle River watershed. We will seek to achieve this through knowledgeable community participation and an adaptive approach.

The Battle River Watershed Alliance is a group representing four orders of government (First Nations, municipal, provincial and federal), watershed groups, environmental organizations, industry, academia and private citizens in a collaborative initiative to plan for the sustainable management of land and water resources in the Battle River Watershed.

We're all part of a watershed, and what we do impacts downstream and future users.

Our Vision: To have a watershed that sustains all life by using sound knowledge, wisdom and wise actions to preserve our watershed for future generations. We achieve our vision by providing relevant science, social science, policies and education for a diverse community of people to create solutions to our watersheds challenges. We do what it takes to make their ideas matter.
