July 3

Police received a report of thefts from mailboxes along Highway 26. 

A dash cam, keys, money and other miscellaneous items were stolen from a vehicle in New Norway. Police remind residents to be diligent about locking your vehicles to prevent thefts in your neighbourhood.

July 5

A mailbox was broken into approximately a year ago. A UFA fuel card was since obtained in the victim's name. Over $35,000 of fuel has been purchased using the fraudulent credit card. This is currently under investigation.

The Rutherford School was broken into and items were stolen.  This is currently under investigation.

July 7

A woman searched "how to contact Apple". She called the number that appeared and was in turn advised to purchase iTunes gift cards and the issues with her phone would be resolved on their end. The woman was victim to a fraud with $165 worth of iTunes gift cards. Police remind residents to be aware of this common scam.
