December 5, 2022

Police attended a residence in relation to a potential assault. It was determined a male and female had an argument and the male hit himself in the face. The male was transported to the hospital and the situation was mediated.

Police assisted with collisions and driving complaints throughout the day.

Police conducted a wellness check on a female who was reported to be making concerning comments. Checks on the female determined she was struggling with mental health. Supports were provided to the female.

December 4, 2022

Police assisted with a child custody concern and were able to mediate the situation.

Police responded to a domestic altercation. Neither party wanted to cooperate with Police. The situation was mediated.

Police responded to an individual who had a hole drilled in their gas tank on their vehicle. Police are investigating.

Police conducted a welfare check on a male who had made suicidal comments. Police determined alcohol was a factor and were able to assist the male in attending the hospital for help.

Police responded to a residence where there was an unwanted male. The male (31) was uncooperative with Police and was arrested to prevent further issues.

Police were called to a residence due to a female and a youth who were in a physical altercation. Police attended and mediated the situation. Alcohol was a factor.

Police responded to two attempted thefts of vehicles and one theft of vehicle complaint. Police are investigating.

Police stopped a vehicle for traffic enforcement and found the male driver had a warrant for no insurance. The male was released on an Appearance Notice.

December 1, 2022

A 32-year-old male was arrested and held in Police cells until sober. The intoxicated male was determined to be responsible for causing a disturbance in a licenced premise.

Police responded to several collisions during the day.

November 30, 2022

Police are investigating a theft of money where funds unauthorized transactions occurred involving a bank account.

A break and enter was reported with several electronic items being taken from a residence. It was determined the items were taken by male in the neighbouring suite, and some of them were eventually returned. Police continue to investigate.

November 29, 2022

Multiple 911 calls were received regarding a male that was extremely agitated and causing a disturbance within a community resource building. Police attended and assisted in de-scalation. The situation was mediated and the male agreed to leave.

November 28, 2022

Multiple traffic related complaints were investigated regarding stunting drivers and the use of engine retarder brakes within the city.

A youth was reported to Police as missing after family was unable to contact them. Police located the youth and determined they were safe, and family was updated.

A traffic stop resulted in a male being arrested for outstanding warrants from Calgary. The male was later released to attend court.

November 27, 2022

A female was reported missing after traveling to Edmonton the previous day and not returning. Police were able to locate her and determined she was not in danger.

Two females were identified as responsible for theft of cosmetics from a west end business. A male was also identified in a separate theft of groceries from a neighbouring business.

A wellbeing check was conducted which revealed a male was living in squalid conditions. Police assisted in conveying the male to seek mental health assistance.

Routine traffic enforcement resulted a male passenger was arrested on outstanding warrants. The male driver was also arrested and charged with numerous driving offences including a suspended licence, no insurance and no registration. The driver was also found to be in possession of illicit drugs and a prohibited weapon. Both males were held in custody.

November 26, 2022

Police received a complaint regarding a male consuming alcohol in a public park. Police located the male and found he was consuming alcohol was grossly intoxicated. The male refused to cooperate with Police and was arrested for public intoxication. He was released from custody when sober and served a violation for open liquor in a public place.

Police conducted a wellbeing check on a male after he left his residence in an intoxicated state. He was found to be unable to care for himself and lodged in holding cells until sober.

Police attended a child custody dispute after one parent alleged the other was in breach of a parenting order. Police determined no breach occurred and the incident was mediated.

Police were called to a domestic dispute and found a male had assaulted a female from a former relationship. the male was arrested and held in custody pending release.

November 25, 2022

A business reported a male and female were stealing items inside a store. Police located the pair and determined they both had outstanding warrants. They were arrested and later released to appear in court.

Police attended another business regarding theft. After reviewing video surveillance, Police were able to identify the male responsible and are seeking his arrest.

A residential garage was entered during the night and hunting equipment was stolen including a rifle and ammunition. Access was gained with a garage door remote from an unlocked vehicle. Police are investigating.

 

November 24, 2022

Police were called to a care facility regarding a 29-year-old male that was under the influence of drugs and attempting to enter the building. Police found the male in an extreme state of paranoia and eventually negotiated his cooperation to be assessed at hospital with assistance from EMS.

A Police check stop resulted in a 52-year-old male receiving sanctions under impaired driving law. The male’s licence was suspended and his vehicle seized.

A 22-year-old male was arrested and held in Police cells until sober. The intoxicated male was determined to be responsible for causing a disturbance and fighting in a licenced premise.

November 23, 2022

A pedestrian collision was reported at 48 avenue and 48 street. No injuries were sustained and Police are investigating.

Police received a report regarding an intoxicated female that was at risk of harming herself. Police located the female and conveyed her to a health facility where family assisted in seeking mental health treatment.

November 22, 2022

Police received a complaint of a male that was high on drugs, causing a disturbance in a residence and making suicidal comments. The male was later located at a sober friend’s residence and determined not to be at risk.

A business owner reported a theft of a black 14′ SureTrac utility trailer from their compound.

A female turned herself in on outstanding warrants. She was later released to appear in court.

During a traffic stop Police determined the male driver was operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle without a valid licence. The male received several violations, and his vehicle was seized.

November 21, 2022

A government agency contacted Police after ending a phone call with a male who made statements about damaging a government building. Police located the male and determined the comments were made from frustration. The male was educated on Police response to such actions and appropriate conduct.

While conducting release compliance checks, Police found a male was not abiding by his curfew conditions. Police are investigating the matter.

Several disputes investigated regarding breach of peace. Police mediation determined nothing criminal occurred.

November 19, 2022

Police located an intoxicated youth who was in possession of alcohol and a prohibited weapon. The youth was apprehended and upon release to an adult it was determined the adult had outstanding warrants. The adult was served notice mandating court appearance.

November 18, 2022

An attempted fraud was reported where an etransfer email was received indicating a deposit was made. Upon opening the email, it was discovered to be a fraudulent attempt to gain access to the individual’s bank account.

Police attended a residence regarding a dispute between two males. One male was uncooperative, refused to keep the peace and continued to cause a disturbance. The male was arrested and lodged in Police cells to prevent further breach of peace.

Police are investigating an incident involving 2 individuals who deployed bear spray in front of a licenced establishment.

November 17, 2022

Police arrested a 30-year-old male following an investigation where a 36-year-old female was assaulted. The male was held in custody for a bail hearing and later conditionally released.

Police investigation found a youth had been repeatedly breaching release conditions. The youth was served notice mandating their appearance in court.

An erratic driver complaint resulted in a 33-year-old female being sanctioned for impaired driving under provincial legislation.

November 16, 2022

A business reported 3 individuals were involved in a theft from the store. Police located them and determined one had outstanding warrants from Calgary. The 31-year-old male was arrested and held in custody pending release.

A complaint regarding an intoxicated driver resulted in a 42-year-old male being arrested for impaired driving. The male was also determined to have outstanding warrants for unpaid fines.

November 15, 2022

Police received a report of a Facebook scam involving a claim to winnings of Readers Digest Sweepstakes. The scammer requested payment of gift cards up front in order for the large prize to be claimed.  It was determined a Facebook account had been compromised by the scammer in order to appear as a personal contact. Police remind the public that the festive season is approaching, and fraud artists will be increasingly active. Please take time to evaluate the circumstances and ask for advice before responding to requests involving personal information or money.

Police responded to a residential break and enter where property was stolen including firearms. Police investigation continues.

Police investigated a missing persons complaint regarding a male did not return and could not be contacted after working away for 2 weeks. Police eventually located the male and found he was not in distress.

Police responded to two separate calls regarding welfare checks for mental health. In both instances the individuals were determined not to be in crisis and accepted guidance to community resources for support.

November 12, 2022

Police responded to a 911 call for a male that was believed to be overdosing on drugs. Police located the unconscious male and administered Naloxone until EMS arrived to provide medical assistance.

November 11, 2022

A complaint was received regarding a suspicious male that was sleeping in a bank lobby. Police located the male and determined no offenses had occurred. The male agreed to seek other accommodation.

Police fielded several separate calls regarding mental health distress. The individuals were located and determined not to be in crisis, however Police provided advice and community resources for assistance.

Police responded to a residence after a 3rd party reported a domestic dispute was occurring. Police located a male that was causing the disturbance and appeared grossly intoxicated by drug and alcohol. During arrest, the male resisted Police and continued to exhibit irrational behaviour. He was temporarily lodged in holding cells before being conveyed to a health care facility for assessment.

Police received a complaint from a female regarding harassing communications from a male who was known to her. Advice was provided and a criminal harassment investigation is pending.

Police attended numerous collisions throughout the day with no injuries reported. A good reminder to be aware of road conditions and importance of exercising caution and patience while sharing the road with other motorists.

November 9, 2022

Police were called to a residence to assist the occupant in removing an unwanted guest. It was determined the male had gained access through 3rd party and was removed without incident.

Police responded to 3 separate mental health incidents where the individual’s expressed intentions of self-harm. Police intervened and the individuals were conveyed to health care professionals for assistance.

Police responded to numerous complaints regarding breach of peace. Police were able to assist in resolving disputes through mediation and advice on support resources.

November 7, 2022

Police were called to a residence regarding a domestic dispute. Police found both parties were extremely uncooperative and refused to provide any information. They were separated to prevent further breach of peace.

A male known to have a suspended driver’s licence was observed operating a vehicle. Police conducted a traffic stop and determined the vehicle was also uninsured and unregistered. The vehicle was seized, and the male was charged with several provincial offenses.

November 6, 2022

Police received several complaints involving suspicious activity and harassing communications. All were investigated and were determined to be non-criminal.

Two females reported that they had been assaulted by a third female while at a licenced premise. Police are investigating.

November 5, 2022

Police were called to a residence regarding a female that was causing a disturbance. Police found the female was intoxicated and refusing to cooperate. She was arrested and lodged in cells until sober.

November 4, 2022

Police initiated a fraud investigation after a male reported over $3300 in unauthorized transactions on is account.

Police responded to a residence after receiving a 911 call and determined a female was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. She was removed from the residence without incident.

Police observed a female operating a vehicle who was known to have warrants.  A traffic stop was conducted and the female was arrested, Police also found she did not have a valid driver’s licence. The female was later released to appear in court.

While conducting routine patrols through licenced establishments, Police were notified by staff that 2 intoxicated males had been causing a disturbance and damaging property. While arresting the males, one of them resisted and assaulted an Officer. The male was later released on charges for assaulting a Peace Officer and is scheduled to appear in court.

November 3, 2022

Police stopped a vehicle for traffic enforcement and found the male driver had a suspended licence. The vehicle was seized, and the male was charged for driving while disqualified.

November 2, 2022

Two males were arrested after refusing to comply with requirements in Provincial Court. They are being held in custody until their next court appearance.

Police executed a search warrant on a residence in relation to illegal drug activity.  Varying amounts of illicit drugs were seized and one male was arrested. He was later released to appear in court for 8 drug related charges.

Police are investigating a break and enter to an unlocked garage where some tools were stolen.

A business advised of a shoplifting where bottles of perfume were stolen. Police are in the process of identifying the involved female and two male accomplices.

 

October 30, 2022

Police arrested a male in relation to yesterday’s assault investigation. The male was held in custody for a bail hearing and later released with court ordered conditions. Police received a complaint a short time later regarding the male who had already breached his release. The male was arrested and held in custody for a second bail hearing.

Police responded to a complaint of two males taking property from the yard of an east end business. The males were arrested, and one of them was found to have warrants. Police contacted the business owners and determined the property was of no value and being discarded, however they did not have permission to take it. The males were later released, and the property was returned.

October 29, 2022

A 911 call was received from a hysterical female in distress. Police responded to a residence to find the female had been assaulted by a male who had fled from the scene. Further investigation determined the male had assaulted the female several times in recent days and uttered threats to the female and another male who were all known to each other. Police are searching for the male.

Police observed a vehicle parked in front of a residence which they recognized as the vehicle that fled from them yesterday. Police attended the residence where they observed the male driver inside. The male was arrested without incident.

A traffic stop was attempted on a speeding vehicle which then fled from Police. The vehicle was observed a second time and another stop initiated, from which the driver fled again. Police later located the vehicle while it was parked and unoccupied. The owner was identified and the investigation continues.

October 28, 2022

Police observed a male operating a vehicle who they knew to have warrants. A traffic stop was attempted and the male fled from Police. Another warrant has been sought for the male for Criminal Flight from Police.

Edmonton Police advised they arrested a prolific offender on our Agency’s warrants for numerous offenses in Camrose including flight from Police, possession of stolen property, and several driving violations. The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.

During a traffic stop Police observed the male driver to be under the influence of cannabis and further investigation determined the male was also in possession of illicit drugs. The male was issued a licence suspension and facing several other charges.

Police observed a grossly intoxicated male causing a disturbance while walking on a roadway. The male was subsequently arrested and held in custody until sober.

Police responded to an altercation at a licenced premise and found an intoxicated male was fighting with staff and other patrons. The male was arrested and charged under Camrose Bylaw for fighting in public.

October 27, 2022

Police surveillance resulted in an arrest of a male for theft of property from a west end business. The male was observed entering the store for a short time and then exiting empty handed. He was then observed retrieving rolls of copper wire from the outside perimeter of the building and placing them in his vehicle. The male id facing theft related charges and schedule to appear in court.

A local bank reported a substantial fraud committed by a male using false identification to obtain a bank draft. Police are investigating.

Police responded to a residential disturbance to find a female with notable injuries who had been assaulted in an area outside of Camrose. Police located the male responsible for the assault and arrested him on warrant. The male was lodged for a bail hearing.

October 26, 2022

Police mediated a dispute between a male and female with the male agreeing to leave the residence as requested.

A business reported a suspicious male loitering on their premise and refusing to leave when asked by staff. It was determined the male did not belong there and he was issued a trespass notice on behalf of the business.

A male reported his credit card had been used several times without his consent. A female suspect was identified and Police are investigating.

October 25, 2022

A commercial break and enter was reported where entry to the business was forced and items taken including cash. Police continue to investigate.

A traffic stop resulted in the female passenger being arrested for breaching release conditions as she was to have no contact with the male driver.

Numerous 911 calls received regarding a female who was unconscious in a vehicle that collided with a parked vehicle in a parking lot. Police and EMS determined the female was in need of medical attention and she was transported to hospital. Police have initiated an impaired driving investigation.

A male advised he was contacted by an individual that had located property previously stolen from the male. Police determined the individual had found the property was stolen after conducting their own serial number checks on the public CPIC system. The property was seized and returned to the rightful owner.

Several neighbour disputes and nuisance complaints mediated during the day.

A community social assistance organization reported a client of theirs was missing. Police assisted in locating the client and they were returned to their residence.

October 23, 2022

Police received reports of theft from unlocked vehicles. Please ensure that all property including vehicles and buildings are secured to avoid potential loss.

A male attended the Camrose Police Service attempting to report his vehicle stolen. It was quickly established that the male was responsible for yesterday’s hit and run collision. The investigation continues and charges are pending.

October 22, 2022

Attended several residential disturbances involving alcohol where occupants were having verbal disputes. All situations were mediated.

A licence suspension was issued and a vehicle seized during a traffic stop after Police found the driver under the influence of alcohol.

A hit and run collision was reported where the offending vehicle was abandoned on scene and the driver fled on foot. Police are investigating and a potential suspect has been identified.

October 21, 2022

Police received a report of theft where a blue 2007 GMC truck was stolen overnight.

Police were contacted regarding a potential online fraud. It was determined that an investment agreement existed involving gambling with funds which resulted in financial loss. It is suggested by Police to ensure safety of all online activities, and users be educated and fully aware of potential consequences of agreeing to terms and conditions.

A male was arrested on warrants during a routine traffic stop.

Police responded to a residential disturbance where 2 females were found to be in a consensual fight.  Police determined one of the females was not an occupant and no longer wanted by the owner as a guest. The female was grossly intoxicated by alcohol and aggressive, refused to leave and resisted arrest. The female was lodged in Police cells until sober.

While mediating a child custody dispute, Police found one of the involved to have outstanding warrants. They were released on scene with obligation to appear in court. Another person involved in the incident was determined to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. They failed alcohol screening and are facing sanctions under provincial impaired driving legislation.

October 19, 2022

Police are investigating a substantial multi-jurisdictional fraud involving recreational equipment which has victimized a local business.

Police observed a dispute occurring outside a licenced establishment involving 2 males and a female. One male was determined to have outstanding warrants and was arrested for a bail hearing. The female was noted to be causing the disturbance and was grossly intoxicated, she was arrested for public intoxication and held in custody until sober.

While investigating a theft complaint, Police observed a female known to have warrants for her arrest. The female was arrested and released to appear in court.

October 18, 2022

A business reported a licence plate was stolen from one of their delivery vehicles.

Police attended a roll over collision where a vehicle had struck a parked vehicle, and then rolled onto its side. No injuries were reported and police continue to investigate.

October 17, 2022

During a traffic stop Police determined the driver of the vehicle was subject to no-contact release conditions with their passenger. The driver was arrested and later released to appear in court.

Police are investigating an attempted theft of a vehicle. The vehicle had been entered and damage sustained to the ignition and steering column.

October 16, 2022

While investigating a collision scene, Police observed an oncoming vehicle approach the scene at an excessive rate of speed. Police stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver, who then resisted arrest while being taken into custody. The driver was later released and facing criminal charges for dangerous driving and resist arrest.

 Police attended a residence to investigate reports of a disturbance which resulted in the arrest of a female. The female was later released to appear in court on one count of assault.

A female was reported to be trespassing in a business after being served notice not to enter. The female was located and charged under the Petty Trespass Act.

 

October 15, 2022

A female reported her vehicle was stolen by a male who was known to her. Police are looking for the male and the vehicle.

Police attended a residence where a female was causing a disturbance in the home. Police determined the female did not reside in the home and mediation resulted int female agreeing to leave.

During a traffic stop Police administered an alcohol screening which determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle was seized, and the driver’s is facing sanctions under provincial impaired driving law.

 

October 14, 2022

 

Police responded to an attempted theft of a vehicle. The vehicle had been entered and damage sustained to the ignition and steering column.

 

A business reported their compound fence was cut and some items removed. The items were found abandoned in the neighbouring business’s compound.

 

Police administered an alcohol screening during a traffic stop which determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle was seized, and the driver’s is facing sanctions under provincial impaired driving law.

 

EMS requested Police attend a residence to aid with a female who was displaying violent, self-harm behaviour and in need of medical assistance. Joint intervention by Police and EMS enabled the female to receive medical care.

 

October 13, 2022

 

A male reported a break and enter to his RV trailer. Several items were stolen including a bicycle, roller blades and a Mac Book computer.

 

A suspicious male was reported at the downtown public washrooms. Police located the male and discovered he had damaged the building and was in possession of stolen property. The male was arrested and later released on mischief and stolen property charges.

 

A female was reported for panhandling near a west end business. Police found the female to have outstanding warrants for similar activity in Edmonton. The female was arrested and later released to appear in court.

 

During a traffic stop Police administered an alcohol screening which determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle was seized, and the driver’s is facing sanctions under provincial impaired driving law.

 

Police attempted a traffic stop with a vehicle noting it displayed a stolen licence plate. The vehicle fled from Police and exited the city. Police are investigating the identity of the driver.

 

October 12, 2022

 

A male was arrested after determining he was breaching conditions of release. The male was later released to appear in court.

 

Police responded to several disturbances and mediated disputes related to property.

 

Several complaints regarding a suspicious male were received from residents and businesses near the west end of the City. Police arrested the male who was grossly intoxicated and lodged him in holding cells until sober.

 

Police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle they observed traveling on park pathways and noted the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. An alcohol screening was conducted which resulted in impaired driving sanctions, licence suspension, and seizure of the vehicle.

 

October 11, 2022

 

Police received a report of a male who was in contact with another person contrary to release conditions. Police are investigating.

 

A youth attended the Police Service to turn themselves in on a warrant. The youth was temporarily held in custody for a bail hearing.

 

Police were called to assist a male that was reported to be grossly intoxicated. Police determined the man was in medical distress rather than being intoxicated and was left in the care of EMS.

 

Two businesses advised they were the victims of theft with a combined value of items taken exceeding $400. Police are investigating both matters.

 

October 10, 2022

 

A male reported being the victim of fraud after responding to a social media add where items were advertised for sale. Money was exchanged electronically, items were never received, and the seller could no longer be contacted.  A reminder from Police to be weary of online transactions and potential for fraudulent activity through exploitation of social media. It is recommended that transactions only be completed with trustworthy sources.

 

A traffic stop identified the male driver was breaching release conditions. The male was arrested and lodged in custody to await a bail hearing.

 

October 9, 2022

 

Police were called to a domestic dispute where it was determined to be verbal only. Police mediated and the parties agreed cease contact for the day.

 

Police conducted a traffic stop after receiving information that the driver was impaired. Police found the male driver to be under the influence of alcohol and he subsequently failed alcohol screening. Police seized the vehicle and issued roadside sanctions and the male is also facing drug related charges after Police found him in possession of illicit drugs.

 

October 8, 2022

 

Police received a complaint of a male attempting to steal a vehicle from a restaurant parking lot. The male was located and determined to be experiencing a mental health crisis. The male was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to an psychiatric assessment facility.

 

Police conducted a traffic stop and found the male driver was under the influence of alcohol. An alcohol screening resulted in the male receiving an immediate roadside suspension and his vehicle was seized.

 

October 7, 2022

 

A male turned himself in to Police for an assault in relation to domestic violence. The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.

 

A 911 call was received regarding a male reported to be in immediate risk of self-harm. Police attended and assisted the male until EMS arrived. The male was left in care of medical staff.

 

October 6, 2022

 

While investigating a traffic complaint Police observed a male causing a disturbance in the area. The male was found to be breaching a court order and was subsequently arrested at which time Police found the male in possession of a weapon contrary to another release condition.  The male was lodged in Police cells to await a bail hearing and is facing numerous charges including possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, uttering threats, and assaulting a Peace Officer.

 

Police attempted to stop a vehicle after observing a traffic violation. The driver did not respond and the vehicle continued out of Camrose where it was eventually stopped by the RCMP who found the female driver to be intoxicated by drug. The matter is still under investigation with potential charges from both agencies.

 

October 5, 2022

Police responded to a local dealership after staff reported a suspicious vehicle abandoned in their lot that was heavily damaged. Police seized the vehicle for further investigation.

Police attend the community skateboard park after complaints of mischief and property damaged were received. The matter is still under investigation.

October 4, 2022

Police attended a residence regarding a disturbance that was reported. Police mediated a verbal dispute and all involved agreed to cease contact for the day.

Staff from a residential housing complex sought advice regarding individuals attempting to enter their building on several occasions.  Advice was provided for safety planning and building security measures to keep unauthorized individuals from entering.

A male reported seeing a female riding a bike he claimed was stolen from him. Police located the female and the bicycle and are in the process of determining the rightful owner.

While conducting proactive crime reduction patrols, Police observed a suspicious vehicle in a residential area that recently been abandoned. Investigation determined that the vehicle was stolen and Police identified a 38 year old female, who was in possession of the vehicle, hiding nearby. Police arrested the female, discovering she was wanted on several warrants for 30 property related charges. A search of the stolen vehicle found numerous items identified from recent thefts in Camrose. The female is facing 20 new criminal charges relate to property crime in our City and being held in custody for a bail hearing.

October 3, 2022

Police are investigating a break and enter to a residential garage. Numerous items of value taken including recreational equipment, tools, and contents from a freezer.

Police received reports of a suspicious male loitering on a residential property. The male was identified and determined to be trespassing. He was charged under provisions of the Petty Trespass Act.

October 2, 2022

A black CAN-AM three wheeled motorcycle and a 1997 GMC truck were reported stolen overnight in separate occurrences. Police are working on leads.

Police mediated a child custody dispute after a parent failed to return a child as per agreement.

A male was arrested for outstanding warrants during a routine traffic stop . He was lodged in Police cells to await a bail hearing.

October 1, 2022

Report received of a hit and run collision near an east end business. Witness information identified the vehicle responsible and Police are investigating.

An ongoing investigation of graffiti mischiefs identified 3 youths being responsible. The Youth Justice Committee was engaged and are dealing with the matter.
