September 22, 2023
Police responded to 2 non injury collisions.
Mediated a dispute between a male and staff at a local business.
Police began investigating an occurrence of theft from a residence.
Attended business alarms and determined them to be false.
Responded to a report of an assault at a residence where a male sustained a minor injury. Matter is under investigation.
September 21, 2023
The Camrose Police Service are investigating a fatal collision involving a cyclist.
On September 21st, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to a report of a serious collision involving a cyclist and semi-trailer truck at the intersection of 62 Street and Camrose Drive. It was reported to police that the cyclist was travelling south on the walking path onto Camrose Drive and struck by the truck, which was travelling west on Camrose Drive.
When responding officers arrived, they located the 48 year old female cyclist seriously injured. First responders immediately began life saving efforts on the female, however, sadly, she succumbed to her injuries on scene.
Camrose Drive was blocked off from traffic in both directions as the scene was processed and reopened at 9:30 p.m.
The collision investigation is ongoing, and speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors at this time.
The Camrose Police Service wish to thank all of those who assisted in the response to this critical event; including EMS, Camrose Fire Department, the City of Camrose, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstruction Unit, Victim Services Unit, and bystanders in the area.

Police responded to 3 mental health related complaints.
Police responded to a non-injury collision.
A complaint of a male breaching a court ordered condition was received. Police determined there to be no breach.
A report of an impaired driver was received. Police attended and located the driver impaired by drug. The driver was issued a 24 hour suspension as well as numerous traffic violation tickets.

Police received a report of a theft that occurred at a residence overnight. Surveillance available. Under Investigaiton.
Police assisted with a property exchange.
Police received a report of a possible sexual assault. Under investigation.
A complaint was received of illicit drugs being located in a public area. Police located and disposed of the drugs. Under investigation.
Police received an abandoned vehicle complaint. The vehicle was confirmed to not be stolen. Attempts were made to contact the registered owner.
Police were requested to a business in response to an unresponsive male. The male was responsive upon police arrival. The male was issued a trespass notice and transported to St. Mary’s.
A report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance at a residence. The female was located and arrested for brake and enter, brought to cells and released when sober on documents compelling her to court.
A shoplifting was reported from a business. A trespass notice was issued.
Police received a complaint of people sleeping on public property. Police attended and spoke with the individuals who agreed to leave the area. Additional resource information was provided to the individuals.

Police were advised of a telephone lottery scam.
Police located an individual in medical distress. EMS was dispatched.
Police received a complaint of an assault that occurred. Under investigation.
Police assistance was requested to a business to a disturbance. One male was issued a trespass notice to the business.
Assistance was requested with regards to a driving complaint. The operator was contacted and issued a warning.

Police responded to a commercial alarm. Determined to be false.
Police assisted with 2 mental health related calls.
Report of a suspicious male that was wandering around a residential area looking for a specific address in a different area of town. The male left prior to police arrival.

Police received a complaint that a male was assaulted by a known individual. Under investigation.
A business owner reported a suspicious male that potentially conducted fraudulent transactions from the business. The male left the business prior to police arrival.

Police were requested to serve a trespass notice on a male that stole from a business.
Police assisted with a disturbance at a business. The female was issued a trespass notice to the business.
A report of a theft of truck that occurred overnight. Vehicle was left unlocked in a parking lot. The matter is under investigation.
Police received a complaint of a suspicious male at a residence. Police were unable to locate the male.

Police located a male intoxicated in a public place. Male determined to have warrants. Police arrested the male who was held for a hearing.
Police assisted with a sudden death determined to be not suspicious.

September 6, 2023
Police dealt with a male trespassing contrary to a no trespass notification.
Report of a break and enter to a business.
A theft from vehicle was reported from the downtown area.
2 males were causing issues at a business, both were issued trespass notices.
Reports of loud noise sounding like gunshots. Police located a male who admitted to setting off fireworks. Warning was issued.
Report of a male stealing property from behind an apartment building. Male was located and arrested for theft.
September 5, 2023
Police were notified that a male was attempting to break into a residence. Police responded and determined the male to be completing work on the residence.
A male was reported to be walking through yards acting oddly. The male was located and arrested for mischief and transported to cells.
Complaint of a female wandering on the golf course and other businesses. Police located the female and she left the area without issue.
A wellbeing request was received for a female sleeping in a tent near mirror lake. The female left prior to police arrival.
Police mediated a domestic dispute.
A resident was issued numerous bylaw tickets for dog related offences.
Police assisted with a custody dispute.
Police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver, determined to be sober.
September 4, 2023
Police assistance was requested with a wellbeing check on a male with a history of mental health concerns. The male was located with no concerns for his safety.
A possible domestic assault was reported. Police attended and determined that only a verbal argument occurred. Both parties were separated for the day.
Police attended an address to check on the welfare of a female believed to be intoxicated and unable to care for herself or children in the residence. Police found alternative arrangements for the children for the night and arrested the female to be lodge in cells until sober.
A complaint of a physical fight at an apartment was received. Police determined that there was no physical fight, only children being loud in the apartment.
Report of a vehicle being rummaged through overnight. Vehicle was left open and nothing was stolen.
Police received a complaint of a suspicious male trying door handles in a business parking lot. The male had left before police arrived.
Police received a report of a break and enter to a residence that occurred while the owner was away for the summer. The theft remains under investigation.
A resident notified Police of a suspicious truck that ditched a flatbed trailer in an alley before fleeing the scene out of the city. The trailer was determined to be stolen from a nearby residence. Remains under investigation.
September 3, 2023
Police assisted with a breach of court order.
Police responded to a theft that occurred to a trailer containing tools. Numerous tools stolen. File remains under investigation.
Police responded to a mental health related complaint.
A complaint of a possible impaired driver with passengers was received and investigated resulted in no charges.
A female was located in distress. Female was arrested for public intoxication, cleared by EMS and transported to cells where she was lodged until she was sober.
September 2, 2023
A checkstop was conducted in the downtown area of Camrose and three people received suspensions due to drinking and driving. One female driver provided a sample over the legal limit and she was issued a 90 day driving suspension, license was seized, her vehicle was seized for 30 days and was issued a $1000 fine. A male driver received a three day suspension, a $300 fine and his vehicle was seized. A second male received a 24 hour suspension.
August 30, 2023
Police responded to a 3 vehicle collision at the intersection of 54 Avenue and 53 Street. Police, Camrose Fire Department and EMS all responded. The intersection was shut down for a significant time and occupants were treated for minor injuries. The investigation determined that an eastbound vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign on 54 Avenue and struck a southbound vehicle which then collided with a northbound vehicle on 53 Street. The driver of the vehicle at fault was charged with fail to stop at the stop sign.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle displayed signs of impairment. The driver provided a roadside sample which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was charged with IRS:Fail and the vehicle was seized for 30 days.
August 29, 2023
Police received a complaint of an impaired driver swerving and nearly causing several collisions. Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The female driver showed visible signs of impairment and was arrested for impaired driving. She was brought back to the Camrose PS and provided two samples of breath reading 190 mg%. She was charged with impaired driving and drive with a blood alcohol over 80 mg%. She was released on an appearance notice to appear in Camrose Provincial Court.
A west end business reported a theft in progress. Police arrived and arrested the suspect who was in possession of stolen property and methamphetamine. He was charged and released on an Appearance Notice.
While on patrol members conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was issued a 24 hour driver’s license suspension and the vehicle was towed.
August 28, 2023
A local male was arrested in a stolen vehicle from Camrose. The male was charged with numerous offences.
Police attended and arrested a male refusing to leave an east end property. The male was determined to be breaching his curfew condition. He was later released on an Appearance Notice.
August 27, 2023
Police attended a downtown address for a possible break and enter. Upon arriving on scene members located a known offender who was removed from the property and issued a Trespass Notice.
Police responded to a residence after a report of erratic behavior. Members noted the subject of complaint was breaching his Community Sentence Order for no contact and was arrest.
August 26, 2023
Police attended to a downtown address after a complaint was received of an unwanted male inside the garage of the residence. The male claimed he had permission to be inside the garage which was denied by the homeowner and the subject was issued a trespass notice for the address.
Police were called to a south end residence after a report of an unwanted male was causing issues at the location. The male also had no contact conditions which he was breaching and he was subsequently arrested. The male is in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
A complaint was received from a west end neighbourhood that there was a male walking around checking the door handles of houses. When police arrived, they located a heavily intoxicated male that could not find his way back to the residence that he was previously at. He was issued a ticket for public intoxication and driven home to his proper residence.
A report of an assault at a downtown licensed premise was received and the investigation is ongoing.
August 25, 2023
Police responded to a collision with a semi-truck and trailer that hit a set of traffic lights in the downtown core. The vehicle was trying to make a turn at an intersection when it struck the light standard causing a large amount of damage. The driver was ticketed under the traffic safety act.
A complaint was received from a downtown licensed premise of a male causing issues inside the bar and was refusing to leave. Police attended and the male subject left after police directed him to leave.
Numerous complaints of fireworks being set off were received during the evening. A male subject was located in the west end that had been shooting off fireworks and he was ticketed.
A male was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was later released with a future court date.
August 23, 2023
A female turned herself in on outstanding warrants. She was released on an appearance notice.
Police received a complaint of a male driving an ATV on the west end of Camrose who appeared suspicious. Police located the ATV and conducted a traffic stop. While dealing with the male driver, he fled on foot. After a short time he was located and arrested for obstruction. Investigation determined that the ATV was stolen from a break and enter in the Bashaw RCMP jurisdiction that was yet to be reported. The man was charged with break and enter to commit theft over $5000, possession of stolen property over $5000, and obstruction. He was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released to appear in court.
August 22, 2023
As a result of an ongoing domestic violence investigation, a man was arrested on outstanding warrants for assault and uttering threats. He was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released on a Promise to Pay Release Order.
While on patrol members noted a male who had a form 21 warrant for his arrest. He was arrested, served his time and released.
August 21, 2023
While on patrol Police observed a male with outstanding warrants after breaching his parole conditions. He was arrested and remanded into custody.
Police observed a male who was known to have 5 outstanding warrants for his arrest. The male fled from police but was later caught up to. He was arrested and charged with resisting arrest. He was held for a bail hearing and was released by the Justice of the Peace on a Promise to Pay Release Order.
An attempted theft of a skid steer was reported. Police are investigating.
As a result of an ongoing criminal harassment investigation between a man and a woman, Police located and arrested the man responsible. During the arrest, the man resisted arrest and needed to be taken to the ground to him under control. He was charged with criminal harassment, mischief under $5000, and resisting arrest. He was brought before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Promise to Pay Release Order.
A man turned himself in on outstanding warrants. He had a bail hearing and brought before the Justice of the Peace. He was released on a Promise to Pay Release Order.
As a result of an ongoing break and enter investigation, Police located and arrested the man responsible. The property was recovered and returned to the owner. The man was charged with break and enter to commit theft under $5000. He was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released on a Promise to Pay Release Order.

Police were called several times about a homeless female. She was located and not receptive of any supports and refused a ride to a shelter.
Police were called to a man and a woman having a verbal argument in the street. The situation was mediated and both parties were separated for the day.
August 19, 2023
Reports of a female sleeping in a lobby of a building contrary to a trespass notice previously given. The female was identified and issued a violation ticket for trespassing.
Police received a report of an intoxicated male walking in traffic. The male was transported to a residence where a sober adult was able to care for them.
Police assisted with property exchange advise.
Police assisted with securing a residence.
Someone requested assistance with locating a family member after they hadn’t been in contact for numerous days. Police were able to confirm their whereabouts without concern.
Police received a report of a male breaching a court order restricting him from attending a specified address. The male was arrested and charged.
A youth attended the front counter seeking assistance with finding her way back home after walking to a friends’ house. Police located the guardians who attended to get the youth.
Police assisted with a female who locked herself out of the residence with dogs inside.
Police responded to a wellbeing check on a female that was observed to be in distress at a shared residence. Police breached the door to get to the female. The female was left in the care of EMS.
Police assisted with mediating numerous disputes.
Someone requested assistance with a potential break and enter in their residence. It was determined no break and enter occurred.
Police responded to a complaint of a large fire in a back yard. The residence agreed to put out the fire and decrease the noise.
Police assisted with a child custody concern.
Police received a report of a male going through the back of truck in an alley. The male took off running when the caller confronted them. Still under investigation.
A male reported his bike stolen. A short time later Police located the bike and it was returned to the owner.
August 18, 2023
A female reported being harassed by a male that was repeatedly calling her. Police mediated the situation.
Someone attended the front counter to report a male that has been walking through their property. Police recognized the male and a trespass notice will be served.
Someone attended the front counter to report a hit and run that occurred in a parking lot. Remains under investigation.
A male reported buying a lawn mower from someone a few days prior and was unsure if the mower was stolen. Advice was given on future purchases and the mower had not been reported stolen.
Reports of an injured fawn were received.
A female attended with concerns of threats being received from a known male. The female received advice on the sitaution.
Report of a male and female camping in the Stoney Creek park. Both individuals were given a warning about camping on public property.
AHS requested assistance with an alarm at a business. Determined to be false.
Someone reported noticing a residential door kicked in. Video surveillance to be reviewed and is still under investigation.
A report of a male trespassing was received and determined to be a property dispute. The situation was mediated.
A female requested assistance with a male known to her that was knocking on her vehicle window non stop trying to get into the vehicle. Members attended and assisted with mediating the situation.
Police were notified that a female was brough to the hospital after being sexually assaulted. Still under investigation.
August 17, 2023
An abandoned vehicle was reported in a business parking lot determined to not be reported stolen. The business to get the vehicle towed.
Report of property left behind a downtown building. The owner was located and spoken to.
Police assisted EMS with mental health related calls.
Assisted a business with a female noted to be sitting outside for an extended period. Determined that the female was waiting for a ride.
Numerous parking complaints received and addressed.
Someone requested assistance with a male that has been attempting to contact a youth through social media. Male was given a warning about excessive communication and told not to continue.
Members attended a collision at 52 St and 44 Ave where a driver went through a yield sign.
A male attended the front counter to report a suspicious male that was observed taking photos of a property from the boulevard. Unable to identify the person.
A female requested assistance with removing an intoxicated male from her residence. The male was taken to cells until sober.
A business was located with an open door. Police secured the door and followed up with the business during business hours.
An altercation took place at a party that took place at a shared residence. An investigation was declined by the complainant and the situation was mediated.
Police received a report of a naked male asleep on a couch inside a building that the male did not belong in. The male was arrested and charged.
Several alarms resulted from the storm.
August 16, 2023
A male who has been banned from an apartment building was noted to be inside. Police know of the male and will serve a Trespass ticket on him once located.
Police assisted with serving an Emergency Protection Order on a male.
Someone attended the Police Service with video of a male stealing his lawn mower. Police recognized the male. Charges are pending.
Members noted a male with warrants walking away from his vehicle trying to evade Police. The male hid in a nearby yard but was located moments later. The male resisted arrest. After a short altercation the male was handcuffed and brought to Camrose Police cells. The male was later released with an Appearance Notice.
CN Police requested members patrol near the train tracks in Valleyview. The conductor reported someone was walking on the tracks but Police could not find them.
Members conducted a traffic stop on a GDL Driver. The driver showed signs that they were drinking which was confirmed with an FST. Their vehicle was towed.
Members conducted a traffic stop on a suspended driver. They were ticketed and vehicle was towed.
August 15, 2023
Report of a lost/stolen debit card from Big Valley Jamboree. The card was used at a business in Camrose. Police are investigating.
Police mediated a neighbor dispute.
An elderly person was a victim of a Fraud. The victim received a call from the fraudster telling them to send Bitcoin and gift cards to avoid being arrested. Police are investigating.
A call was received of two suspicious males near Mirror Lake. Police located the two and one of them had warrants for his arrest. The male was later released after a Judicial Interim Release hearing.
While on patrol, members located a male involved in a Robbery from last week. The male was arrested and is currently waiting on a Judicial Interim Release hearing.
Police received several calls of suspect(s) trying to open vehicle doors during the night. The suspect(s) were gone on arrival.
August 14, 2023
Police assisted in a child custody matter. Advise given to both parents.
Received a report of an intoxicated male causing problems at a local business. Police attended and located the adult male who was arrested and lodged to sober.
Members assisted in locating a person with dementia who had wandered from a residence. Once located, the person was left in the care of EMS as a precaution.
A call was received of a male in someone’s backyard causing a disturbance and damaging property. The male was located and arrested. He was later charged and released on conditions and will appear in court at a later date.
A male was located by Police walking around the City in the early morning hours contrary to nightly curfew conditions imposed by the court. The male was arrested and released to appear back in court on charges of breaching his release conditions.
Police mediated a neighbor dispute.
A call was received of a theft from a local business. The matter is under investigation as Police await the viewing of surveillance to determine responsibility.
August 13, 2023
An intoxicated adult female was located walking on the street as a result of a complaint. She was arrested for public intoxication and lodged to sober.
Police mediated a dispute between a male and a female in a residence.
An adult female was located driving under the influence. Investigation determined she was under the chargeable threshold and was issued a 24 hour suspension.
A female was located heavily intoxicated by alcohol. Due to this, EMS was contacted and she was left in their care.
Police responded to a number of suspicious person complaints throughout the day.
Police mediated a disputed between two adults.
Police responded to a call regarding the mental health of an adult.
A report was received of a truck being stolen from a residential area. The matter is under investigation, the vehicle has been added to CPIC as stolen.
August 12, 2023
A check on welfare request resulted in the individual being located with no further concerns.
Alarm received from a business. Members attended and found unsecure doors. All entries were secured and the business was confirmed to be empty.
Police received a report of a verbal argument occurring between a male and a female. Both left the area prior to police arrival. A male was located a short distance away and informed police that the female was yelling. A female suspect was identified but was not located.
Police received a complaint of a female that was intoxicated and had entered a residence. The female left the residence and began knocking on other doors to residences. Police located the female running down the street and was arrested for public intoxication to be held until sober. The female was issued a trespass notice.
Police responded to a report of an intoxicated female being physically aggressive towards a male. The female was arrested for public intoxication to be released when sober.
Police received a complaint of a male driver following a youth driver. Patrols were made in the area and police were unable to identify the male.
Police responded to a report of a male that entered a residence and began yelling at the home owner and a female located in the residence. Police determined that the male and female were known to each other. The male was asked to leave the property and no longer communicate with the female.
Numerous driving complaints received. 1 24 hour suspension was issued.
Police received a complaint of 2 individuals engaging in indecent activities near the Mirror Lake gazebo. Both were spoken to and given warnings.
Police were requested to assist with an intoxicated female refusing to leave a residence. EMS was requested due to the level of intoxication of the individual. The individual was left in the care of EMS.
Police received a report of a suspicious male inside an apartment building. Police attended and determined the male left the location prior to arrival.
August 11, 2023
Police assisted with a mental health related occurrence.
Police provided assistance with a female seeking advice with a verbal confrontation.
A male attended the front counter reporting his bike stolen from his residence.
While on routine patrols members located an open side door to a business. The building was determined to be empty before being secured until the keyholder could be contacted.
Police responded to a 911 call reporting a female being threatened. Members responded and confirmed the situation was a verbal argument that was mediated.
Police responded to numerous suspicious person’s complaints.
Police assisted with a mental health call.
August 10, 2023
Police were called to a residence that was observed to be unsecure. Members attended residence locating a footprint on the door. The building was determined to be empty and plans were made to secure the property.
EMS requested assistance with a patient’s roommate that was aggressive. Members attended and the patient was treated without incident.
Police received information of someone driving without a license. Unable to located the driver and vehicle.
Police received a report of individuals offering gold for cash from their vehicle. Police located the individuals who were issued tickets.
Police were called to a disturbance at a business involving a male trying to fight patrons of the business. The male was issued a trespass notice to the business.
Report of a possible impaired driver. Police located vehicle and confirmed the driver to be sober.
August 9, 2023
A traffic stop was conducted and the male driver of the vehicle was found to have a warrant for having no motor vehicle insurance. He was arrested and lodged awaiting a bail hearing. The male driver was also issued tickets for no insurance, no registration and not wearing his seatbelt.
August 8, 2023
Police were called to a disturbance at a residence involving an intoxicated man. Police attempted to mediate the situation but the subject of complaint was uncooperative and was arrested to prevent further breach of peace. He was lodged until sober then released without charges.
Police responded to three mental health complaints during the day.
August 7, 2023
A business on the west end reported that a customer had their E-Bike stolen from outside of the business. Police viewed video surveillance and were able to identify the 45 year old Camrose man. He was located and arrested for the theft of his bike. In his possession was break and enter tools and a quantity of fentanyl. He was charged with theft under $5000, possession of break and enter tools, and possession of a controlled substance. He was released on an Undertaking. The recovered E-Bike was returned to the victim.
Police responded to an assault complaint at a residence. Police determined that a 46 year old man was responsible for assaulting a woman and a youth inside of the residence before fleeing in his vehicle prior to police arrival. Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as the suspect and showed visible signs of impairment. He provided a breath sample which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. He was released on an Undertaking to appear in Provincial Court and was also issued an Immediate Roadside Sanction Fail and his vehicle was seized for 30 days.
August 6, 2023
Police conducted a checkstop near the BJV site. Two impaired drivers, four drivers who blew cautions, and two GDL driving suspensions due to alcohol were detected. Later in the day another checkstop was conducted which located a driver who blew a caution. All drivers were dealt with via provincial sanctions and vehicle tows.
Two reports of mischief to vehicles were reported by Police which had occurred overnight in the area of Marler Drive in the 6300 block. Police are investigating.
Police received a report of an assault and are still investigating.
A shoplifter was caught stealing from a west end business; they were issued a trespass notice upon the direction of the business.
Police mediated an argument between a male and a female. The two were separated for the night.
Police conducted two separate check on welfare requests for different individuals. In both cases the individuals were deemed to be okay and were provided options for resources.
A vehicle that was driving inappropriately in the Encana arena parking lot was involved in a collision with a parked vehicle. The driver was issued a ticket for careless driving.

Police conducted a Check Stop and dealt with eight impaired investigations.
A complaint was received of a stolen vehicle from a campsite. After a police investigation it was determined a friend took her vehicle to await the complainant being released from police custody.
Police responded to three extremely intoxicated individuals during the evening inside of the campground. Police located friends/family to assist with the individuals.

August 5, 2023
A male reported that his 2005 F250 was stolen overnight from the downtown core. The vehicle is still outstanding and listed on CPIC as stolen.
An east end tow company reported that a subject was breaking into their compound. Please attended and located a male attempting to steal his own truck after it was seized due to an impaired driving investigation the day prior. The male was arrested and charged with break and enter with the intent to commit theft. He was later released with conditions not to go back to the tow compound.
City patrol members conducted an afternoon checkstop in the east end of Camrose and seized one vehicle after the driver provided a breath sample that was over the limit to be driving.
Staff from a downtown licensed premise reported that an 18-year-old male was assaulted, and his phone was stolen. Police attended and located one of the suspects responsible for the assault. He was lodged in police cells. The second male has not been located at this point and the investigation is ongoing.

A complaint was received of a 32 year old man and his 33 year old common-law in an argument in the campground. Members attended and both were intoxicated and unwilling to cooperate with police.
A complaint was received of a break and enter in progress to a business compound close to the BVJ site. Members attended and arrested a 35 year old man. The man climbed the fence and was attempting to get his vehicle out of the compound, after it was seized by police the previous day. The man was later released on criminal charges of break and enter.
A Check Stop was completed where police dealt with four impaired investigations.
A woman called advising her vehicle was stolen from her campsite. An investigation determined the vehicle was towed after being illegally parked.
Police dealt with seven arrests involving intoxicated individuals causing problems inside the campsite. All were released when sober.
While on patrol police noted a physical altercation in the main parking lot of the CRE. A 23 year old female and 29 year old male were arrested and charged with assault on a police officer and obstruction. Both were later released when sober to appear in provincial court.
An intoxicated woman was arrested after assaulting a security officer onsite. The woman was charged and released when sober.
Police attended a complaint of a 26 year old man and 25 year old woman having a verbal argument in their campsite. Police were able to mediate the situation and provide future support to the woman.
A complaint received of a 20 year old man and an 18 year old having a physical altercation inside of their campsite. Police attended and determined there was no assault and were able to resolve the situation.
Police attended three other intimate partner violence complaints during the evening and were able to mediate the occurrences.
A complaint was received of a male that brandished a knife at another male when an argument occurred. Both parties fled prior to police arrival.

Police were dispatched to a domestic argument which was mediated, Police assisted in separating the two parties.
Police assisted with a sudden death of an individual who has passed away in their home due to medical reasons.
During a Checkstop near the BVJ site two impaired drivers were dealt with. Police also issued a driving suspension due to blowing a caution and a 24-hour driving suspension. Another Checkstop conducted later in the day in a different location resulted in some tickets being issued for various infractions.
Police assisted with a check on welfare of an individual who was not able to be reached by his doctor.
Police assisted with a report of unwanted contact an individual was having with a former co-worker.
Officers assisted with transporting an individual back to their BJV campground after they were reported by a local bar to be causing problems.
Polie conducted another check on welfare after an individual was observed who appeared to be in need of medical assistance. The male was located and determined to be fit to care for themselves and confirmed that they had an upcoming doctor’s appointment.
Police assisted with locating a female who was intoxicated and had taken off from her family members.
A report of a dog in distress was received regarding a dog that was tied to a vehicle. Officers attended and located the owner who had left their dog while they were inside a local business. The dog was determined to not be in distress and was just anxious after being left on its own. The dog’s owner was warned and left the area with his dog.

August 2, 2023
Police attended a report from a construction site in Camrose where a trailer was broken into overnight and tools were stolen. Police are still investigating.
Police responded to a complaint of a bike that had been stolen overnight from a residence in the area of 52 Avenue and 42 Street. Police were also investigating a report of three bikes that had been moved from inside a nearby compound; likely the bikes were being targeted by a thief who was going to return to collect them later. Video surveillance in the area identified a 23-year-old male who is known to police. This male was later located with the initial stolen bicycle and he was placed under arrest. He was later released after being charged for possession of stolen property, theft, and break and enter.
Police dealt with a traffic complaint of a semi hauling farm equipment on the ring road that had hit several traffic signs and a holiday trailer. The semi fled the scene; however, it was later able to be identified by police. The driver of the semi was contacted and will later be dealt with by police for the collision and for not remaining at the scene following the collision.
Police attended a collision involving a vehicle that had hit an individual who was crossing a road on a mobility aid. The driver of the mobility aid was not injured. Police are still completing their investigation.
Police helped reunite a four-year-old boy with his mother after he was located unattended in the playground on Enevold Drive.
Police stopped a vehicle; it was determined that the driver did not have a driver’s licence and that the vehicle was not registered or insured. The driver was ticketed and the vehicle was towed.
Police dealt with two reports of different individuals who were acting strange while in local businesses. In both cases Police attended and determined that the individuals were in need of medical intervention and EMS was contacted to assist.
Police assisted the RCMP with a collision that occurred in the county with a truck and trailer that had hit a semi-truck and then continued to travel on the highway into Camrose. The truck and trailer were located entering the city limits and Police assisted in collecting the needed information for the reportable collision.

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated male who was left in the care of EMS.
A semi truck struck a bollard while turning onto 50 St southbound from 48 Ave. Police assisted with traffic control.
A male was evicted from a hotel and issued a trespass notice.
A female attended the front counter reporting concerns involving youth and text messages that were sent.
Police responded to a collision at 66 Street and 48 Ave. The driver at fault was issued a violation ticket for
Police received a complaint of a male squatting behind a hotel dumpster. A male from Lloydminster was issued a trespass notice before leaving the property. The same male was later located on the side of the highway hitchhiking to Edmonton. Given the weather conditions and the limited resources for the male he was put up in a hotel for the night.
911 call for a domestic dispute at an apartment. The male could be heard yelling and slamming doors from the hallway. The male was found to be grossly intoxicated and was arrested for causing a disturbance to be released when sober.
Police received a complaint of campers parking in at the Duggan Mall parking lot. The owners of the campers were waiting for the BVJ gates to open. The campers were directed to a parking lot that allows camper overnight parking.

Police attended a local business after receiving a report it had been broken into. A vehicle was stolen from the property and police are investigating.
A local business reported that a male has been causing issues inside the store. The adult male was located and served a trespass notice to the property.
A female youth was found to have stolen from a local business. The property was returned, and she was issued a trespass notice for the business, parents advised.
An adult male was located in relation to a previous incident and charged for trespassing at night.
A verbal argument was mediated between a couple.

Police began an investigation into several holiday trailers that were entered at a location in Camrose.
Police assisted in mediating a compliant regarding the custody of a child.
Police assisted a female who had been receiving harassment online. The male responsible was spoken to and advised to stop contact or will face charges.
A staff member from a local business reported that someone had broken into the business overnight. Nothing appeared stolen, matter is under investigation.
Police mediated a dispute between a couple.
Police received a report of a firearm that was discharged inside a residence. Members attended and determined that a male had shot himself accidently while manipulating the firearm, causing only a minor injury. The matter remains under investigation.

Police responded to a 2 vehicle collision. The driver failed to yield at an intersection causing a second vehicle to collide when it went through the intersection. One vehicle was left on its side. EMS and Fire assisted. No injuries. The driver at fault was issued a violation ticket for failing to yield.
Police assisted Camrose Fire with a fire that started in an electrical room of an apartment building.
A female requested a wellbeing check on a friend that she had not heard from in 10 days. Police located the individual and determined the female was having cellular phone problems.
Police responded to a theft at a west end business. The male suspect returned the merchandise before leaving the scene. The male was issued a trespass notice at the request of the business.
Police were called to a sudden death where a male was found deceased in his residence.
Police attended an east end business where a suspicious vehicle was located abandoned without a plate. The vehicle was confirmed not stolen and the business had the vehicle towed off the property.

While members were on patrol, they located a subject that have outstanding warrants. He was subsequently arrested and had to pay his fine on one of the warrants and was released on a document compelling him to court for the second warrant.
A male attended the front counter of the Police Service to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant. He was lodged, had a bail hearing and was later released on a document compelling him to court.
Police were advised of a stolen cube truck that was being monitored via GPS by the RCMP. The vehicle was approaching Camrose from the west via Highway 13. The truck was located on the east end of Camrose as it was exiting the city limits. Police assisted in monitoring the vehicle while RCMP were enroute. A traffic stop was initiated by the RCMP and the vehicle fled from Police. A tire deflation device was used and it caused the puncture of one of it’s tires. The vehicle came to rest in an approach and two females from Edmonton were arrested by RCMP and Camrose members. The two subjects are currently in custody awaiting release.

Police attended to an east end business after a report of a vehicle had their gasoline siphoned out . This is the same location that had a gas tank drilled out the day prior and fuel was stolen.
A male was located standing on 48 Avenue in the west end of Camrose. The male was known to have a court imposed curfew and he was subsequently arrested. A search subsequent to arrest located a knife in his possession. The male also had a condition of not to possess weapons. He was charged with two counts of breaching his conditions and later released with a court appearance date.

An east end business reported that a gas tank on a truck had been drilled out and gas was stolen. Police attended and obtained surveillance footage from the area and will be looking to identify two male suspects driving a black Dodge Ram truck.
Police were called to an argument between a man and a woman inside of a residence. The situation was mediated.
A woman attended the Camrose Police Service to report she was assaulted by a known individual. The investigation led to the arrest of a 24 year old Camrose man. He was charged with assault with a weapon and released on an Undertaking to appear in court.

A few mental health calls were dealt with by officers.
A child custody dispute was reported to Police and assistance was provided.
A male was dealt with by Police after reports about him trying to camp in unauthorized locations was received from several different reporters. Police assisted in connecting the male with resources.
A motorcycle was observed by officers driving carelessly and then took off from Police when they tried to stop it. The driver of the bike was identified, located, and charged accordingly.
Police received a missing person’s report about a resident of a care facility who had yet to return home after leaving on their bike earlier in the day. As Police were in the process of searching for the female, she returned to her care facility.
A mother reported her daughter missing after she left the residence and was refusing to return home. Police are still making attempts to locate the youth.
Police dealt with a report of an argument between two individuals.
A check on welfare report was received which resulted in Police getting EMS medical treatment for an individual.
Police responded to a complaint of two loose dogs which had chased some children at a nearby playground. The dogs were located back in their insecure yard and Police were able to contact the dog’s owner who returned home to ensure the dogs did not get out again. The dog’s owner was ticketed by Police.
A collision was dealt with by Police after a vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign and a T-bone collision occurred.

It was reported that an Amazon package was stolen from a Camrose resident’s front steps on Sunday in the residential area south of Mirror Lake. Police want to warn the public about taking steps to protect against these porch pirate types of thefts.
A missing person report was received from Newfoundland RCMP regarding a male who has not been heard from and is possibly going to attend the Camrose area. Police are currently making attempts to locate him.
Police attended a residence after a family altercation was reported. It was determined that alcohol was a factor and after other strategies were attempted Police were required to arrest one of the occupants to ensure the safety of the other family members. Upon the arrest, the male assaulted one of the officers. The male was lodged in cells and charged accordingly. Another male was arrested within the residence after it was determined that he had outstanding warrants.
Police assisted staff at a business with a client who was acting aggressively and had a knife on him.
A mental health call was dealt with by officers.
A male was dealt with after residents of an apartment building reported that the male was squatting in a shed on the property. Police assisted moving the male along and he was served a trespass notice to help ensure he did not return.
Police mediated a dispute involving two individuals over property that was being stored at one of the individual’s residences after the two got into an argument which prompted someone in the area to call the Police.
Police attended a report of an assault involving a female who exited her house to confront a vehicle and its occupants after she was concerned about what they were doing parked in her neighborhood. It was determined that an argument ensued which resulted in the female getting into a physical altercation with a female passenger of the vehicle. Police are still investigating.

A 911 call was received from a Camrose resident who stated that she caught a male in her unattached garage and he was sitting in her vehicle. Police attended and located the male wearing the callers sunglasses. The 31 year old male was arrested for break and enter and commit theft and he was later released with a court date.
Police were called to attend the area of Jubilee Park for a call of an intoxicated male who may need assistance. When police arrived they located a 40 year old, heavily intoxicated male who was arrested for public intoxication. He was lodged until sober and he was in no condition to look after himself.
A female caller reported that sometime last week someone entered her garage and stole a collection of food out of their freezer. Also stolen was an air rifle and a .22 long barrel rifle. The investigation is still ongoing.
July 16, 2023
Police received a complaint of a male hitting golf balls onto the street. When members attended it was determined that the male had a warrant for his arrest and he was subsequently arrested. He was held for a bail hearing and later released.
An anonymous complaint was received of a male outside of a downtown retirement facility that was causing a disturbance. The male was gone when police arrived but a short time later he returned to the building. Police attended a second time and found a male on the front lawn of the residence. Police knew the male to have a trespass notice not to attend the property and he was arrested for trespassing. He was issued a ticket for trespassing on the property and released.
Police conducted a check-stop in the Grand Drive area and while conducting mandatory alcohol screening they located a subject who was over the legal limit. He was issued an immediate roadside sanction and his vehicle was towed. His privilege to operate a motor vehicle in Alberta has been suspended, receives a $1000 fine and his vehicle is seized.

Police received a complaint of a historic sexual assault involving a male youth and a female youth. This matter is still under investigation.

An apartment manager contacted police advising she noted a woman stealing a bicycle from behind the building. Members attended and identified the offender from the video surveillance. Police to locate and deal with the offender.
Police received a call for a well-being check on a 45 year old man. The man was spoken to and agreed to get medical assistance.
911 call received of a break and enter that was occurring at a residence. Police attended and located the homeowner who was intoxicated and attempting to get into her residence.
A landlord contacted police advising a tenant was yelling and screaming inside of the building. Members attended and spoke with a 41 year old woman who was provided community support information.
Police assisted with three medical complaints during the day. All three patients were turned over to medical professionals.

Police received a complaint of an intoxicated male at the back of an apartment complex trying to enter a shed. Police located the man who was arrested for public intoxication and lodged into cells until he was sober. He was released without charges.
Police responded to a road rage incident between two drivers which led to both vehicles stopping and an argument ensued. One of the driver’s then allegedly struck the other driver involved and left the scene. Police are investigating.
As a result of an ongoing investigation involving a stolen credit card, Police were able to identify and located the suspect. The suspect was arrested and released on an appearance notice.

Police responded to a male on Highway 13 who was intoxicated. The male was arrested to ensure his safety and lodged until sober.

Police responded to a complaint of a male and a female spray-painting bicycles on 46 Street in the 5200 Block at a nearby business. Checks were completed on the bicycles and no property damage occurred.
A west end business reported a theft of money. Police are investigating.
Police completed a Mental Health Apprehension and transported the male to the hospital for assessment.
A traffic stop was conducted which led to Police determining the driver was suspended and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. The driver was issued violation tickets and the vehicle was seized.
Police responded to a complaint where a female phoned 9-1-1 and was intoxicated. Police determined there was no emergency and she was provided supports.

While on patrol members located a male who had outstanding warrants for his arrest after he breached a court order. He was arrested and brought before a Justice of the Peace and released on a Promise to Pay Release Order.

A citizen called police to report seeing two suspects in a fenced compound behind a business. Police attended and noted property from the compound stacked up outside of the fence but the suspects had fled. This matter is under investigation.
Police conducted a traffic stop and noted the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver failed an FST test and was charged with IRS-Fail. The driver was also determined to be a suspended driver and the vehicle was seized for 30 days.
Police received a complaint of an intoxicated female who was having trouble dealing with her mental health. Police attended and she was transported to the St. Mary’s Hospital to receive professional assistance.

Police were called to a disturbance at a residence involving a man and a woman. While police were trying to mediate the situation the man who was intoxicated refused to cooperate and was being confrontational with the woman. He was arrested to prevent further breach of peace. He was lodged in cells and later released without charges.
A report of three intoxicated males who were causing problems in a neighbourhood by being loud, putting toilet paper on houses and tipping over a porta-potty. The three males were located and issued tickets for public intoxication and sent home.

A traffic stop was conducted and determined the driver had a suspended driver’s license. He was charged and his vehicle was seized for 30 days.
As a result of an ongoing fraud investigation where the complainant had her credit card stolen, Police located and arrested the man responsible. He was charged with 6 counts of misuse of a credit card and released on an appearance notice to appear in provincial court.

Police were called to investigate an uttering threats complaint where the suspect was believed to be in possession of a rifle and had threatened to kill the complainant. Police made contact with the suspect who was agitated and threatened to shoot police. Containment was set up on the residence and after two hours of negotiating with the suspect he was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with two counts of uttering threats and resist arrest. He was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released on a Promise to Pay Release Order.
Police received a complaint of a home invasion where a male entered a home and assaulted the homeowner before fleeing in a silver car. Police are investigating.
Police conducted a traffic stop and determined that one of the occupants had a no contact order with the other occupant. He was arrested for breaching his conditions of the Order and released on an appearance notice.

While on patrol, Police noted a man pushing a grocery cart full of property quite a distance from a retail store. While speaking with him it was determined the property was stolen and he provided a false name to Police. The male was arrested and the property was returned to the business. The man was charged with possession of stolen property under $5000, obstruction and resist arrest. He was released on an appearance notice to appear in court.

A 42-year-old male was arrested after Police witnessed him steal a bicycle. He was also found to be in possession of illegal cigarettes. The male was released to appear in court.
2 separate calls were received regarding theft of catalytic converters from motorhomes which were likely stolen during the fall/winter season.
An east end business reported their compound fence had been cut. Police are investigating but believe nothing was stolen.
Staff from a west end business reported multiple subjected entered their store and stole a large quantity of fragrance products, and then fled in a vehicle that was waiting nearby. Police are investigating several leads.
A 32-year-old male was arrested for the fitness facility break and enter that occurred on June 26th. The stolen property was recovered, and the male was later released on conditions and to appear in court.

Numerous thefts were reported involving vehicles being entered and miscellaneous items being stolen.
911 call received regarding a male on a sidewalk behaving suspiciously and holding a knife. Police located the male who was under the influence of illicit drugs. The male was arrested for Possession of a Weapon Dangerous, and Public Intoxication. Upon arrest a small quantity of cocaine was also located on his person. He was held pending release when sober.

A business advised their company vehicle was broken into sometime over the weekend with a number of hand and power tools stolen from it.
Staff from a fitness facility reported a break and enter to their business where keys and an old cell phone were stolen. Police are investigating potential leads.
During traffic stop, Police identified one of the passengers as wanted on multiple outstanding warrants for property crime and failing to attend court. The male was arrested and lodged for a bail hearing; he was later remanded into custody. The driver was found to be operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, they were issued numerous violations and the vehicle was seized.
Police arrested a male for warrants related to unpaid traffic fines. He was released after the fines were paid.

A collision investigation determined an 88-year-old male was responsible and had fled the scene. The male was located nearby and is facing numerous charges and a licencing review.
While on routine patrols, police observed 2 males outside a licenced establishment and one of them was urinating in public. The male was issued a bylaw violation, and while dealing with him police found the other male to have outstanding warrants. The 2nd male was arrested and lodged to await a bail hearing.
Numerous noise and bylaw complaints were investigated throughout the night.

Police attended a residence regarding disturbance to find an intoxicated male attempting to fight with other occupants. The male was arrested to prevent further breach of peace and lodged in police cells to sober.
A 3rd party complaint of a domestic assault was investigated, and after speaking to all parties it was determined the complaint was unfounded.

Police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint where the driver appeared to be sleeping while in a residential intersection. Police determined the vehicle had been stolen from a nearby residence and the suspect was located a short distance away. A 31-year-old man is facing charges in relation to the incident.
A break and enter was reported by a business with damage sustained to the glass doors, however entry was not gained. Police are investigating the identity of suspect(s).
Police responded to several calls regarding a male with a weapon chasing 2 others in the Mount Pleasant area. Police located the heavily intoxicated suspect and upon arrest found him in possession of the weapon as described. A 20-year-old male was held in custody to sober for a bail hearing, he has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous. The suspect and victims were known to each other.

A suspicious female was reported behaving strangely in the Mount Pleasant area. Police obtained a description and located the female who was suffering from mental health issues. The female was determined not to be in crisis and offered community resources.
A traffic stop was conducted and the male driver was found to have an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and lodged in police cells for a bail hearing.
Police noted a female passenger in a vehicle outside the police station that was causing a disturbance. The female was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. A subsequent search revealed a small quantity of illicit drugs; she was also found to have outstanding warrants from Edmonton. The female was lodged until sober and then released to appear in court.

A female requested police assistance with an intoxicated guest that was causing a disturbance in her home. Police attended and the guest to be grossly intoxicated and confrontational. They were arrested to prevent further breach of peace and released when sober.
Police observed a male known to have warrants for dangerous driving, uttering threats and failing to attend court. The 37 year-old was arrested and lodged for a bail hearing.
Police received a report of a suspicious male circling an apartment building and attempting to gain entry. Police located the male and determined he had a trespass notice for the location. The male was charged under the Petty Trespass Act and removed from the property.
A traffic complaint was received regarding a vehicle stopped in the middle of the street with the male and female occupants having a dispute in the roadway. Police located the pair and determined nothing criminal had occurred. Police arrested the male on warrants and he was later released from custody. The vehicle was seized for not having insurance or registration.
A male was reported to be intoxicated and causing a disturbance within a licenced premise. Police located the male, 37, and arrested him for detrimental conduct in a licenced premise. The uncooperative male then became assaultive with police while being lodged in holding cells; he was subdued and charges for resisting arrest are pending.
A 911 call resulted in the arrest of 2 males and a female after they had stolen a vehicle during a test drive. Two of the 3 were identified as the same individuals having the dispute in the roadway earlier in the day. The trio were held in custody for a bail hearing.

Police received a report of three small children who were not properly dressed wandering around Mirror Lake. Police located the children and they were returned to their nearby residence where parents were found to be unaware. Child and Family Services were contacted to assess the safety of the children in the home.
An impaired driving complaint resulted in police stopping the vehicle to find the driver was intoxicated by alcohol. The driver’s licence was suspended and his vehicle towed in accordance with provincial sanctions.

A traffic stop was conducted on vehicle with expired registration and mismatched licence plate. The vehicle was also found to be uninsured and the male driver was issued numerous violations and the vehicle seized.
Police received several reports of theft from unlocked vehicles with miscellaneous items being stolen.

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for suspicious driving behavior. A strong odour of marijuana was noted inside the vehicle and a subsequent field sobriety test was conducted on the driver. It was determined the male driver was under the influence of drugs; his licence was suspended and vehicle seized. The male is also scheduled to appear in court for possession of an illegal amount of marijuana.

A male was observed to be breaching the conditions of an emergency protection order and numerous other release conditions. The male was arrested and held for a bail hearing.
While investigating a 911 hang up call, police determined a child was in medical distress after ingesting a toxic substance. Police assisted in transporting the child to hospital for treatment.
A female was stopped for cycling violations and police determined she had outstanding warrants for substantial unpaid fines. The female was arrested and held in custody.

A motorhome was reported to be abandoned in front of a residence. Police determined the owner had been spoken to previously and given a warning and time to move the vehicle. The owner had not complied and the vehicle was towed.
A male was reported to be behaving suspiciously and operating a mobility aid in a west side restaurant parking lot. Police determined the male was in medical distress and was left in the care of EMS.
Police responded to a disturbance and found a female had been assaulted by a male. Police located and arrested the male for assault and uttering threats and he was held for a bail hearing.
A male who was known to have warrants attended the police station, he was arrested and later released to appear in court.

A suspicious vehicle complaint resulted in police finding a male sleeping in the vehicle. The male was initially detained for possession of stolen property, however later released after investigation. Police determined his vehicle was not insured and he was charged accordingly and his vehicle seized.
During a traffic stop the male driver was determined to have a suspended licence. The vehicle was seized and the male issued a summons to attend court. The male was also charged after he was found to be in possession of a substantial amount of illegal cigarettes.
A 2004 Ford F350 truck was reported stolen from the 65 street and 43 avenue area. Police are investigating.

A break and enter was reported to an apartment through an insecure patio door. The occupant advised their cell phone and wallet were stolen; police are investigating.
Police responded to a theft of vehicle in progress from a west end parking lot where the subjects had fled after being confronted by the witness. Police located the subjects and determined no theft had occurred as there was a misunderstanding due to language barrier.

A female reported she was receiving unwanted messages from an unknown male. Police were able to identify the male and he was warned to cease contact.
Staff from a school advised of a suspicious female they observed on their property. Police identified the female and determined she was attempting to have contact with a student contrary to custodial arrangements. The female was warned about her behavior and to cease any attempts to contact.
Police responded to a residential disturbance to find an intoxicated male causing a dispute. The male was observed to have medical concerns and was cleared by EMS prior to being lodged in police cells to sober.

Police received a report of a male going through yards in the area of 48 St and 48 Ave, and in possession of a child’s bike believed to be stolen. Police located the bike abandoned in the area and have identified a suspect.
A bicycle was reported stolen from behind the francophone school on 56 Street in the 4700 block. The bike is described as an old orange cruiser type bike with white fenders and black handle grips. Please contact Police with any information.
Police are investigating multiple frauds after a wallet was reported as lost and the owner noted their debit cards were used at various businesses in Camrose.

Police are investigating a theft and fraud after a debit card was stolen and used at a local business. A suspect had been identified and charges are being pursued.
A traffic stop was conducted for expired vehicle registration and the male driver showed signs of impairment. Police obtained a breath sample from the male which resulted in a roadside sanction for alcohol. His licence was suspended and vehicle seized.

While conducting patrols police stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction. While speaking to female driver police noted a strong smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle. Police conducted a field sobriety test and determined the female was intoxicated. She was issued a 24-hour roadside sanction and her vehicle was seized.
Another traffic stop was conducted with a male driver who showed signs of impairment. Police obtained a breath sample from the male which resulted in a roadside sanction for alcohol. His licence was suspended and vehicle seized.
Police attempted a traffic stop with a motorcycle which did not have a licence plate. The motorcycle then fled from police at a high rate of speed and violating numerous traffic laws. Police are investigating.

Police were called to a collision on 48 avenue at 66 street where a pedestrian had been struck while in the crosswalk. Initial investigation found minor injuries to the pedestrian who was transferred to care of EMS. Charges are pending against the vehicle driver.
A report of theft from a vehicle was received after a cell phone was stolen from an unlock car at a shopping centre.
A break and enter was reported by a business. Unknown subjects entered a storage unit and stole a small off highway motorcycle.
A traffic stop found the male driver to have an outstanding warrant for substantial unpaid fines. Upon arrest it was determined that he was also under the influence of alcohol. The male was issued a licence suspension and his vehicle seized. He was to be held in custody until the fines were paid.

Two separate reports were received involving intentional damage to vehicles. Police are investigating the mischiefs.
During routine traffic patrols a male was located operating a vehicle while having conditions not to operate a motor vehicle without the owner present. The male was arrested and during a subsequent search of his person, quantities of cocaine and methamphetamines were located on him as well as a stolen wallet. The male was charged with possession of the drugs, possession of stolen property, and breaching a release condition. The male was later released from custody.

An online fraud was reported involving a romance scam. A large sum of money was sent in the form of gift cards to assist the suspect with what was referred to travel costs.
Police responded to a disturbance involving occupants in a residence. Police determined one of the subjects did not reside at the property and assisted in mediation and their removal.

Police responded to a 911 call from a female who stated that she had intentionally inflicted self harm. Police located the female and she was left in the care of EMS.

Police responded to a residence after the occupant found blood on their front step and that their vehicle had been broken into. Police located an intoxicated male, 46, that was determined to be responsible. The male is to appear in court for charges of theft and mischief.
While on patrols, Police noted a bay door open at an east end business. The property was checked and Officers were able to secure the business and notify the owners.
An Audi A5 car was reported stolen from a residence in the 47 ave and 47 st area.

Police responded to a pedestrian collision and determined an intoxicated male was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street away from a crosswalk. No injuries were sustained.
Police were called to a disturbance in the downtown area where they located a male that was intoxicated and trying to fight with bystanders. The male was arrested and held until sober.
A traffic stop resulted in an impaired driving investigation. A 29-year-old female was issued a roadside sanction and her vehicle seized.
Police noted a vehicle to have a stolen licence plate attached. A subsequent traffic stop found the male driver in possession of stolen property. The female passenger was also arrested for outstanding warrants. The pair were later released from custody.

A 48-year-old male was arrested for criminal harassment, and breaching conditions of an Emergency Protection Order and a previous release order. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Police apprehended a youth in accordance with an order under Protection of Children Abusing Drugs and Alcohol. The youth was conveyed to a safehouse for treatment.

A 42-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrant for breaching a release condition. He was released from custody.
A reminder from Police to keep record of personal property through photograph and serial number documentation and report any theft or loss to Police: Officers were called to a residence regarding a stolen property complaint where they found numerous bicycles in the residence that the property manager believed to be stolen. However, due to lack of bicycle theft reporting and identification information Police were unable to determine if any of the bikes were stolen.
On May 18th, 2023, at 3:30 P.M. while on general patrol a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado came to the attention of police. Police checks on the vehicle determined the truck to be stolen out of Leduc, Alberta. Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop with the truck, however the vehicle fled from Police driving dangerously through the city at high rates of speeds. Further complaints were received from motorists in the County of Camrose leading to the recovery of the vehicle near Ferintosh, Alberta. With the assistance of the members from the Bashaw and Wetaskiwin R.C.M.P. Detachments including the R.C.M.P. Canine Unit, Police were able to locate and arrest 25 year old, Guy ROASTING, from Pigeon Lake, Alberta. Further investigation led to the arrest of 47 year old, Corey WESTFALL, who was a passenger in the stolen vehicle.
WESTFALL was charged with possession of stolen property over $5000.00 and possession of a controlled substance. He was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released on a Release Order to appear in Camrose Provincial Court.
ROASTING was charged with criminal flight from peace officer, criminal hit and run, possession of stolen property over $5000.00, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and 4 provincial driving offences. He was brought before a Justice of the Peace, but did not speak to bail and remains in custody.
During the events in the Duggan Mall parking lot a black SUV was struck by the accused. We are encouraging the owner of the SUV to attend the Camrose Police Service, if you were in the parking lot during the time of the event and have damage to your vehicle. The Camrose Police Service have the description of the victim vehicle.

A 36-year-old female was the subject of a complaint for defecating on a lawn in front of a business. The female was located and charged accordingly.

Police were called to deal with an intoxicated man who was causing problems inside of a residence. He was arrested and held until sober where he was released without charges.

Police responded with the Camrose Fire Department to a grass fire that was intentionally set by suspects in the area of Mount Pleasant Drive and 46 Avenue. The matter is still under investigation.
Police were called to a residence along Mount Pleasant Drive after witnesses could hear a fight ensuing. Police located a man who had been bear sprayed and the known suspect had fled from the scene. The victim and multiple witnesses did not wish to cooperate with a police investigation.
Police have received two reports of black bear sightings in the area near the valley along Camrose Drive. Fish and Wildlife have been notified. Police want to remind members of the public to keep your pets on leashes and to use caution when in the area of the valley.

Police have arrested and charged a 46 year old man in relation to an ongoing domestic violence investigation after the victim came forward to Police. A search warrant was conducted and the man was charged with sexual assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, forcible confinement, and assault by choking. The man remains in custody after setting the bail hearing over to next week.
Police received a complaint of two youths that were observed slashing the tires of two vehicles in the area of Enevold Drive. If you have any information about this crime please contact the Camrose Police Service.
A complaint was received about an intoxicated man with multiple scrapes on his arms and face. Police located him and he was arrested for public intoxication. Once sober, he was released without charges.

Police were called to a residence by the homeowner to assist with removing a man and a woman out of the home. Members attended and determined that the man had conditions not to have contact with the female. He was arrested for breaching his probation order and released on an appearance notice.

Police received three separate reports of unlocked vehicles being entered and rummaged through in the area of Marler Drive and 65 Street. In one of the instances a key fob was stolen from the vehicle. Police are investigating.

Police assisted the Camrose Fire Department with a residential fire near 49 Street and 47 Avenue. There were no injuries and the investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
Police were called to a downtown licensed premise after a patron was causing a disturbance. When asked to leave the 30 year old man broke a window before fleeing the bar. Police located and apprehended the intoxicated man. He was arrested and charged with mischief under $5000 and detrimental conduct in a licensed premise. He was released on an Undertaking to appear in Camrose Provincial Court.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle was determined to have a suspended driver’s license. He was charged accordingly and his vehicle was seized.
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and the driver displayed signs of impairment. The driver was a GDL driver and was issued an IRS Zero license suspension along with a vehicle seizure.

Police were called to a theft in progress at a west end business. Police located and arrested two adults for theft under $5000. Both adults were released to appear in court and the property was returned to the business.
A complaint was received about an intoxicated man who was acting suspicious. Police attended and noted that he had fallen and his face was bleeding. EMS was called to tend to the injuries before being arrested for public intoxication. He was held in custody until sober then released without charges.

Police observed a male steal a bicycle from the front of a business. The 47-year-old male was quickly apprehended and later released on charges of theft and possession of stolen property.
Police are investigating a cryptocurrency related fraud involving a substantial sum of money. It appears the scam was initiated as an investment opportunity which led the victims to believe they were gaining significant returns over several months; however, the fraud was discovered when a withdrawal was requested.
A female with warrants for disobeying a court order was found and arrested. She was later released to appear in court.
A 47-year-old male was arrested during a traffic stop after it was determined he was a suspended driver, and it was determined to be his 6th offense. Police also located numerous items in the male’s possession that were perceived as break-in tools, along with small amounts of methamphetamine and cannabis. The male’s vehicle was seized and he is facing several charges.

Police arrested a 49-year-old male at a medical clinic after he was noted to be intoxicated and causing a disturbance. The male was released after becoming sober.
Police investigation of an assault resulted in one male being charged with assault with a weapon and resisting arrest. The intoxicated 39-year-old male had assaulted another male with a baseball bat during a dispute and refused to cooperate with Police during arrest.
Police responded to an impaired driver complaint which led to a traffics stop with a 20-year-old female. Police found the female under the influence of alcohol and issued a licence suspension and vehicle seizure. The driver was also found to be illegally conveying liquor and cannabis and charged under the respective provincial statutes.

A male was reported to be attending several multi-unit dwelling properties after he had been previously served trespass notices. The male was located and issued multiple violations under the Petty Trespass Act.
Police observed a female operating a vehicle who was known to have warrants. While attempting to initiate a traffic stop, Police observed the driver flee and abandon the vehicle on a roadway. The vehicle was seized and further charges are pending for the female driver.
Police investigation of a domestic violence incident resulted in an Emergency Protection Order being granted.

Numerous 911 calls were received regarding a vehicle driving dangerously in a residential area. Police identified the driver and further investigation found the 37-year-old male was experiencing mental health issues and causing a road rage incident which posed a risk to the public. The male was arrested and is facing charges for criminal harassment, assault with a weapon, and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

Police located a male who was wanted for breaching his parole. The male was remanded to a correctional facility.
A traffic stop with mandatory alcohol screening resulted in the 22-year-old male driver failing the test. His vehicle was seized and he is now facing sanctions with a licence suspension and monetary fine.

Police responded to the downtown area for a suspicious person complaint involving an edged weapon. Police located a male in possession of a hunting knife and determined he was breaching a release order. The male was arrested and found possess a small quantity of methamphetamine. The male was held for a bail hearing and later released by Justice of the Peace on cash bail.
Police observed a female in a downtown parking lot who was known to have warrants for extensive property crimes. Upon her arrest she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl. She was held for a bail hearing and later remanded into custody by Justice of the Peace.
Two reports were received of property being stolen from residences after deliveries were left on the doorstep.
** A Police reminder to the public that the risk of theft is substantially higher when deliveries are left unattended. It is recommended that residents are home to accept deliveries, deliveries are sent to a secure address, or a theft prevention device is utilized to accept deliveries such as a secured mailbox or dropbox.
**Another reminder from Police that fraud incidents are on the rise with the latest grandparent scam evolving from phone calls to physical presence. Several instances have been noted by other Alberta agencies where criminals are first making contact by phone and then arranging to either meet the victim to accept the money or even take then to the bank to access the money. Although no violence has been reported in these incidents, there is risk for it to occur. Police strongly recommend the public to be weary of such scams and to report any suspicious activity to Police.

A female was assaulted in the downtown area after confronting another female who was in possession of property that was stolen from her. The assaultive female was observed by Police and arrested on scene. The 35-year-old was lodged for a bail hearing for numerous charges including assault with a weapon and uttering threats; she was also wanted on 7 outstanding warrants. The female remanded into custody by Justice of the Peace.
A traffic stop found the driver to display signs of impairment by drug which were confirmed through field sobriety tests. The driver was issued a licence suspension and his vehicle towed. Police also located prohibited weapons and various quantities of hashish, heroin, methamphetamine, and cannabis. The driver and his female passenger are facing numerous charges related to weapons and controlled substances.

Employees reported that someone had stolen $10,000 worth of copper wire from a construction site. Police are investigating.
Police responded to a complaint involving an unconscious male in an alley. Police found the male in medical distress from an apparent overdose. EMS attended and the male was left in their care.
A 3-vehicle collision was reported at 48 Ave and Mt. Pleasant Drive. Police determined a driver had experienced a medical episode which led them to rear ending a vehicle which then struck another. Injuries were deemed minor and the driver was assisted by EMS.

Police were called to a number of westside business for a female that was behaving suspiciously. The female wa located and appeared to be suffering with mental illness. She was left in the care of family. Later in the evening the same female was found to be wandering through yards and leaving personal property behind. Police again located her, determining she was in need of further mental health assistance and conveyed her to an assessment center for assistance.

A resident reported hearing power tools near their neighbours motorhome during the night and observed a subject flee from the area after confronting them. It was determined a catalytic converter was stolen from the motorhome.

A city employee reported an abandoned truck on City property. Police found the truck was reported stolen a few days earlier. The vehicle was removed and the owner notified. While recovering the vehicle Police noted a suspicious truck in the area which was driving through the parks. A traffic stop was attempted and the vehicle fled the area at a high rate of speed. Police have several leads on suspects.
Police received a complaint of fraud after a Paypal account was compromised and transactions were completed using the owner’s information. Police are investigating.

Another cryptocurrency fraud was reported to Police similar to those reported on May 2nd. *** Police are reminding the public not to engage in any money transfers or purchases of financial product unless the transaction is verified to be legitimate. Scammers rush decisions and will demand secrecy, which is one of the main strategies used to commit fraud.
Two youths were apprehended for shoplifting at west end business. Police became involved and the youths are facing consequences outside the justice system.
Police mediated numerous landlord-tenant disputes regarding eviction and property damage.

Police received 2 separate reports of fraud involving cryptocurrency. The suspect had contacted the victim advising they had leftover money in an old account, which required new deposits through cryptocurrency to reactivate it. Once the exchange was made to cryptocurrency, the money was lost and fully accessible to the scammer.
