Camrose & Area Animal Shelter Society

Our Society began with the goal of opening a shelter for lost and homeless pets in the Camrose Area.

We began by raising funds for, the awareness of, and the need for an animal shelter in Camrose. We presented information to the City Council regarding the stray cat population and the issues this raised within the city, while asking them to help us get started. They currently contribute funding to the shelter in the amount of our lease.

We moved to our current location on Nov 1, 2017.  We will have each cat vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adopting them out.

We hope to add community outreach programs, such as low cost spay/neuter/microchip initiatives. These will contribute to reducing reproduction, increasing the number of strays being returned to their owners, and in turn controlling the stray population.

Here’s all the ways you can get in touch….
